On Wednesday, Colby Armstrong recorded three points - and earned a recall to Pittsburgh - as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton shut out Hartford, 5-0... Jiri Hudler had three assists in Grand Rapids' 5-4 win over Omaha... Kirby Law scored his league-leading 21st goal of the season in his 500th AHL game as Houston beat Iowa, 3-2... LOOKING AHEAD: With their captain on the verge of history, Philadelphia hosts Bridgeport on Friday night (7:05 ET, Comcast SportsNet)... John Slaney's 453 career points tie him with Steve Kraftcheck for the most ever by an AHL defenseman; the record-tying point was the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Norfolk... The fourth-place Phantoms enter the weekend with a two-point lead in the East over the Sound Tigers, who have lost eight of their last nine road contests... Bridgeport's Wade Dubielewicz has stopped 106 of 109 shots in his last three starts (2-0-1)... The Tigers are 3-0-1-0 against Philadelphia this season, including two shutout wins.

Unbeaten in regulation since Dec. 9 (5-0-1-1), Portland hosts Providence on Friday (7:05 ET)... Four of the first five meetings this season between these teams have been decided by a single goal, the last two in overtime...
