Aeros/Baysox Doubleheader Today at 4:05pm

AKRON, OH - The Akron Aeros and Bowie Baysox will play a doubleheader TODAY beginning at 4:05 p.m. The first game is a make-up of Wednesday's rainout. The second game will immediately follow. Each game of the doubleheader will be seven innings. Fans will enjoy two games for the price of one!

Fans holding a ticket for the Wednesday, April 27 postponed game, may exchange it for today's doubleheader or any remaining home game during the 2011 season. Fans must redeem their tickets in person at the Canal Park Box Office. Tickets subject to availability.

Special events scheduled for today's doubleheader include:

. Buck Up Thirsty Thursday, presented by the Ohio Lottery

o $1 GREEN Beer & $1 Soft Drinks

. Irish Eyes Are Smiling - Irish Heritage Night

o Corned beef eating contest, hunt for a pot of gold, and even Canal Park's own leprechaun makes a special appearance! Everyone has a little "luck of the Irish" in them at today's games!

. Salute to University of Akron Men's Soccer National Championship

. Belated Happy Birthday Herm Edwards! "We Play To Win The Game"!

o An extension of last night's offer - if the Aeros win EITHER game of the doubleheader, fans can exchange their ticket stubs for a free ticket to another home game in May (non-fireworks night)

Aeros left-hander T.J. McFarland (0-0, 6.23 ERA) will pitch game one for the Aeros against left-hander Rick Zagone (1-0, 6.43 ERA) for the Baysox. Southpaw Matt Packer (0-2, 5.27 ERA) will start game two of the doubleheader for Akron and will oppose Bowie right-hander Steve Johnson.
