Today, the SeaWolves take on the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies) in the final game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves suffered their most lopsided loss of the season, giving up a season-high 14 runs on 17 hits, falling to the R-Phils 14-6. The loss dropped the SeaWolves back to the .500 mark, in a four-way tie atop the EL West. Last night, the 'Wolves failed in the fourth attempt at a three-game winning streak...Erie and Reading are the top two scoring teams in the league and both rank in the top three in the league in team batting...Righty Jacob Turner takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his fourth start of the season and second against the Phillies. His last start came at Reading on April 18. In the game, Turner allowed a run on four hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Turner has worked at least six innings in all three of his starts and has yet to register a decision. Opponents are hitting .181 off of Turner this season...Right hander Chris Kissock takes the mound for the Phillies, making his fourth start and first against the SeaWolves. Kissock took a loss in his last start at Akron allowing six runs on nine hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Opponents are hitting .322 off of Kissock this season...The SeaWolves hit the road for a seven-game road trip beginning on Friday with a three-game series at Altoona. Erie will play four in Binghamton next week before returning home next Friday.
