Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators earned a split of their four-game series with the Altoona Curve on Thursday afternoon with a 6-2 win. Tyler Moore hit two home runs and Brad Peacock pitched seven solid innings to lead the Sens.
Peacock went seven innings and struck out seven while allowing just five hits. Patrick McCoy pitched two-thirds of an inning before giving way to Ryan Mattheus. Mattheus earned his second save on the season by retiring the final four batters. With the win Brad Peacock moves to 3-1 on the season.
Altoona's starter Mike Colla had retired the first eleven batters in the game before Bill Rhinehart homered to right field. Moore then followed for the first of his two home runs to give the Sens a 2-0 lead.
Moore's second home run of the game, a two-run shot in 8th put the final touches on the win for Harrisburg. It was the first two-homer game of the year for the Senators and the back-to-back home runs are the first time this year that has happened.
