Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today Fairy Tale Night at Prince George's Stadium Saturday, May 14, as the team takes on the Akron Aeros at 6:35 p.m. The event includes costumed characters, on field-promotions based on fairy tales, and giveaways designed to help fans live happily ever after. After the game, the Baysox light up the skies with a fireworks display fit for a princess.
Baysox Community Programs Manager Dana DeFilippo looks forward to the event. "Baseball is a magical game," DeFilippo said. "It is perfect for Fairy Tale Night because any game can have a storybook ending. I know Snow White is looking forward to the game, I can hardly wait to see who else will show up for the event."
Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite princes, princesses and fairy tale characters for the event. Fans will be charmed by Snow White and other costumed characters during a special meet-and-greet session before the game, and on-field contests include "Match the Damsel with Distress." Fans ages 12 and under can enter a free raffle to win a Fairy Tale Prize Pack or a free four-pack of tickets for Bow Tie Cinemas.
Tickets for Fairy Tale Night range from $6 to $14 and are available now at the Baysox box office, by calling (301) 464-4865 or by visiting www.baysox.com.
