Published on August 20, 2009 under Eastern League (EL1)
Akron RubberDucks News Release
AKRON, OH - Thursday's game between the Aeros and the Bowie Baysox was postponed because of unplayable field conditions, as a torrential downpour drenched Canal Park about an hour before game time. A makeup date was not immediately available, but Akron does travel to Bowie next week for the final regular-season meeting between the two teams.
Any fans with tickets to tonight's game can exchange them for any remaining 2009 home game, including any playoff games. Exchanges must be made at either Infield Outfitters or the Aeros Box Office at Canal Park, and all exchanges are subject to availability.
The Aeros will hit the road Friday morning for a weeklong road trip, starting with the first of four games in Erie at 7:05 p.m. Akron is expected to send Connor Graham (0-2, 5.19 ERA) to the mound against Jonah Nickerson (8-10, 5.05 ERA) of the SeaWolves. The game broadcast begins at 6:50 p.m. on SportsRadio 1350 AM and online at www.akronaeros.com. For more information, please call the Aeros at (330) 253-5151.
