Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI - Wednesday marks the third game in the Admirals "Hunt for Pink October," as the team pays tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month when the Quad City Flames come to the Bradley Center for a 7:00 pm contest.
The Admirals will host a very special guest at the game in Deanna Favre, a breast cancer survivor and wife of legendary Packers' Quarterback Brett Favre. Deanna will be signing her new book, "Don't Bet Against Me" which is raising proceeds for the Deanna Favre HOPE Foundation. Fans can purchase the book at the game for just $20, a discount of almost $3 off the retail price.
Deanna will be signing copies of the books outside section 203 from when doors open at 6:00 pm until the end of the 2nd intermission. In order to accommodate everyone, Deanna can only sign copes of her books, HOPE Foundation gear, or the special pink Admirals hats. Those hats can be purchased at the DigiCopy Information table outside section 225 for $20. Proceeds from the hats will also go to the HOPE Foundation.
Unfortunately she is unable to sign souvenirs, such as footballs or Green Bay Packers paraphernalia, and there is a limit of three autographed books per customer.
Also appearing at the game Wednesday will be Christopher Knight who is Admirals first guest for SportClips Remember Whensdays. Knight is most famously known as the actor who played Peter Brady in the classic TV hit "The Brady Bunch." In addition to playing Peter, Knight was a star in VH1's "Surreal Life 4," and also was the focus of "My Fair Brady" a show that chronicled his relationship with fellow Surreal Life cast member Adrianne Curry.
Throughout the remainder of the month, fans will be able to bid on the helmets worn by Admirals players that feature a special pink ribbon. The bid sheets for the helmets, as well as the pink Admirals hats are located at the DigiCopy Information Table.
Fans can purchase tickets by calling Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more can receive $2 off the face value of each ticket by calling the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550. For more information fans can call the Admirals office or check out the team's website at www.milwaukeeadmirals.com.
