
Admirals Sign Defenseman Dane Crowley to ATO

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals have signed defenseman Dane Crowley to an Amateur Tryout Contract, Admirals General Manager Claude Loiselle announced today.
Crowley, a 6-foot-2, 208-pound left wing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, skated in his second season with the WHL's Everett Silvertips, serving as their alternate captain. In 66 regular season games this season, Crowley had ten goals and 19 assists with 131 penalty minutes.
In 279 career WHL games with the Silvertips, Swift Current Broncos and Saskatoon Blades, Crowley tallied 21 goals and 73 assists with 533 penalty minutes. He served as alternate captain with Swift Current in 2006-07 and Everett this season while winning the 2007-08 Silvertips Coaches Award and the 2005-06 Swift Current Defenseman of the Year.
The Admirals will return to Scope this weekend to close out the 2007-08 home schedule. They will face off against the Albany River Rats at 7:15 tonight and tomorrow night.
Tomorrow night is AAA Member Night and Fan Appreciation Night. AAA Members receive $3 off any red level seat when purchased at the Scope Box Office with a valid AAA card. Fan Appreciation Night will also take place in the home finale on Saturday with hundreds of prizes given out to the best fans in the American Hockey League!
