Canadiens Return Winger Matt D'Agostini To Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Matt D'Agostini has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. D'Agostini will join the Bulldogs tomorrow in Hamilton.
D'Agostini, 21, played in his first-career NHL game last night (Thursday, April 3rd), helping the Canadiens to a 3-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. The native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, had 13 shifts with 8:49 of ice time and two penalty minutes.
The 6-foot, 195-pound right-winger has appeared in 70 games with Hamilton this season, ranking second in goals (20), assists (27) and points (47) with a team-high 216 shots and 32 penalty minutes. In 133-career AHL games with the Bulldogs, D'Agostini has collected 96 points (41-55-96) and 65 penalty minutes.
The Bulldogs return to action tonight at 7:30 p.m. when they take on the Lake Erie Monsters at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
