Admirals Fall in Preseason Opener

HERSHEY, PA - The Norfolk Admirals fell in their first preseason exhibition game to the Hershey Bears 6-2 on Saturday night at Giant Center in Hershey.

The Admirals received goals from Defenseman Justin Fletcher and Center Blair Jones. Chris Bourque, Grant Potulny, former Admirals captain Jason Morgan, Scott Barney, Andrew Joudry and Sasha Pokoluk netted goals for the Bears.

The Admirals will close out their preseason schedule tomorrow afternoon in Philadelphia. Norfolk will travel to the Polonia Bank Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia to take on the Phantoms at 1:30 p.m.

The Admirals will open their eighth season of American Hockey League action and first season as the top affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday, October 5, at Philadelphia. The Admirals will come to Scope for the first time in 2007-08 on Friday, October 19, versus the Binghamton Senators.
