Action-Packed Final Homestand Planned at Greater Nevada Field

RENO, Nevada - It's closing time for Aceball at Greater Nevada Field.

The club will open a homestand in the Biggest Little City for the final time in 2019 over the weekend. Reno will welcome the Salt Lake Bees to town for a four-game set starting Thursday with promotions scheduled for each game.

Former Major Leaguer, Eric Byrnes, will be in attendance in game one of the series Thursday, August 22, signing autographs on the concourse throughout the game and throwing out a ceremonial first pitch. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Byrnes' foundation, "Let Them Play." The charity funds opportunities for play and raises awareness of the plight of inactivity facing the children of America today. Head to https://www.letthemplayfoundation.org/ for more information.

Byrnes played 11 seasons for the Oakland A's, Colorado Rockies, Baltimore Orioles, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Seattle Mariners during his career. He appeared in 16 games for the Reno Aces in 2009 batting .279 with two home runs, nine RBIs, and 14 runs scored. He retired in 2010 and currently works as an analyst for MLB Network.

Thursday the 22nd is also the final "Bark in the Park," "Thirsty Thursday" and discounted ticket night for college students of the season. Gates open at 6:05 p.m. PT as the Aces will take on the Bees with first pitch due at 7:05 p.m. PT.

The following day, Friday, August 23, is Wolf Pack Night presented by Eye Care Professionals! We're partnering with the University of Nevada, Reno, to celebrate their accomplishments & impact on Northern Nevada. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Wolfie Bobblehead!

The game also marks the final Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday of the season presented by Saint Mary's and KRNV News 4. Gates open at 6:05 p.m. PT with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. PT. Stay after the game to see the best fireworks show in town. Kids are welcome to run the bases immediately following the spectacle presented by My Kid's Smile & KTVN 2 News.

On Saturday, August 24, let us take you through Platform 9 3/4 and into the Wizarding World of the Reno Aces presented by Pritchett Eye Care Associates. A sorting hat station, House-inspired food specials, in-game entertainment, and more await you!

Lastly, Sunday, August 25 is the final regular-season home game of the season. The team will celebrate with Fan Appreciation Day in which every fan in attendance will receive a raffle ticket and have a chance to win things like bobbleheads, mini bats, replica jerseys, etc.

The game also marks the final Family Sunday presented by 106.9 MoreFM featuring $1 hot dogs, soda, and popcorn throughout the contest. Gates open at 12:05 p.m. with first pitch slated for 1:05 p.m. Kids are encouraged to run the bases after the contest presented by My Kid's Smile & KTVN 2 News.
