May 13, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Inter Miami CF News Release
Over the past month, a number of our Inter Miami CF Academy athletes have been the recipients of youth national team call-ups.
A trio of Inter Miami CF II and Academy U-17 players in Tyler Hall, Benjamin Cremaschi, and Israel Boatwright were were called up to different youth national teams. Academy U-15 player Santiago Morales, meanwhile, was also called up for international duty. Hall and Morales featured in international tournaments during their windows, while Cremaschi and Boatwright took part in training camps.
Tyler Hall
Hall made three appearances, two of them starts, for the United States U-17 Mens Youth National Team at the UEFA Development Tournament in Castelo Branco, Portugal. The defender served as captain of the team, helping lead it to impressive victories over Belgium and Portugal, while he came off the bench in a defeat against Italy.
"This most recent youth national team experience was amazing because I was able to play against top level teammates and opposing players," said Hall. "Also, being on the pitch there is one of the greatest feelings, representing the badge and playing against top countries. This is the type of experience any soccer player should wish for. As captain, I had to find creative ways to hype up the team, build their confidence and give players directions. I believe I was one of the many pieces that helped guide the team to the two wins."
Santiago Morales
Morales traveled to Europe and played in the 18th Torneo delle Nazioni for the United States U-15 Men's Youth National Team. The young Academy standout appeared as a substitute in one of the team's two group stage matches, featuring in a 3-2 win over Belgium, before starting in a narrow 2-1 semifinal loss to hosts Italy. Morales then appeared as a substitute once again in the team's third place match against Portugal, a 1-2 loss.
"It was a really good experience to go to the Torneo delle Nazioni with the national team. I feel like I was prepared for the opportunity because my teammates and coaches help me improve every single practice and every single game," said Morales. "It was a great overall experience where I learned a lot, and it was an honor to be there."
Israel Boatwright
Boatwright was called up to the Dominican Republic U-20 National Team for a training camp. The defender's call-up came on the heels of Boatwright's professional debut with Inter Miami CF II.
"It was definitely an honor to be a part of the group and represent my country. All the guys were super welcoming and helped me get accustomed to their playing style and overall it was a great experience," said Boatwright.
Benjamin Cremaschi
Cremaschi was one of 33 players and one of 10 midfielders called up for a U.S. U-19 MYNT training camp at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif.
"The U.S. U-19 training camp was a great experience that pushed me to maximize my potential and train with some of the best young athletes in the country. I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity the USMYNT is giving me. Being selected to represent the U.S. is definitely a challenge and an honor I looking forward to."
Congratulations to all of our youth national team call ups!
