Etihad Player of the Month: Alex Callens Clinches April Award
May 13, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York City FC News Release
New York City Football Club defender Alex Callens has collected the Etihad Player of the Month award for April.
The Peruvian international has continued his excellent form for the club at the heart of the backline.
Named Player of the Month in March also, Callens went the full 90 three times for the Club in April and helped them toward two clean sheets in the process.
Just as eager to contribute to the attack with impressive dribbling out of the back, Callens is one of the first names on Ronny Deila's teamsheet and a vital presence in the locker room.
A well-deserved honor, the 30-year-old will be hopeful of continuing his form through the rest of this month.
Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Alex on his award.
