New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls will host Charlotte FC in the Round of 16 of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, as determined last night in a draw by US Soccer.
New York will host the match on Wednesday, May 25, at MSU Soccer Park on the campus of Montclair State University. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET. All matches in the 2022 U.S. Open Cup are available on ESPN+.
MSU Soccer Park has served as the home of New York Red Bulls II, the club's USL Championship affiliate, since 2017. Montclair State University is reachable by public transit and has parking available on site.
New York Red Bulls 2022 Red Members will have access to an exclusive pre-sale today at 1:00 p.m. before tickets go on-sale to the general public at 3:00 p.m. Red Members will have tickets available for $5 and will also receive 1,000 bonus Members+ points for attending. Single tickets will be $10, and groups of 10-plus will have tickets available for $7.
The match will mark the first-ever meeting between the two clubs across all competitions. It will also be the first time since 2019 that New York will host a match at MSU Soccer Park, when it welcomed the New England Revolution in the fourth round of the Open Cup.
New York was drawn into the H1 spot of the region, which means with a win, the club will host the winner of the New York City FC - New England Revolution match at Red Bull Arena in the Quarterfinal Round.
