
Gorillas announce first "Home Away From Home" party

Amarillo, TX 11/21/08 - For the first time during the 2008-09 season, the Amarillo Gorillas will be holding a "Home Away From Home" party on December 9, 2008.
The Country Barn, located on west I-40 near the Soncy Rd. exit in Amarillo, will play host to Gorillas fans as Amarillo takes on the rival Odessa Jackalopes at the Ector County Coliseum. The party will begin thirty minutes prior to the start of the game, which is scheduled for 7:05 PM central time.
Gorillas fans will be able to watch and listen to the contest, courtesy of the Country Barn. The "Home Away From Home" party is designed to provide fans an exciting atmosphere in which to watch a Gorillas road game-almost as though the Gorillas were at home in the Amarillo Civic Center!
Amarillo's game against Odessa on December 9 will be the third overall meeting between the two teams, and the second at the Ector County Coliseum this season. It will also be the Gorillas' third game in a five-game early-December road trip.
Reservations are required for the watching party, and can be made by calling the Gorillas' front offices at (806) 242-PUCK (7825) or by e-mailing event coordinator Scott Sneed (scott@amarillogorillas.com). There is no cover charge for the event.
