Jacks Have One Stolen From Them in OT
November 21, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - The power plays for the game favored Rio Grande Valley by a 10-3 margin. Despite playing down a man for much of the game, and losing one player to a Game Misconduct, the Odessa Jackalopes scored three third period goals to force overtime against the Killer Bees. Josh Chase netted the game-tying goal for Odessa.
In overtime the Jacks were penalized for a soft hook by Kory Karlander shortly after Mike Ramsey was tripped on a two-on-one which went unnoticed. Travis Bunga redirected a shot from the point to give the Killer Bees a 5-4 overtime victory.
Game two of the home-and-home series between Odessa and Rio Grande will be played Saturday night at 7:35 PM in Hidalgo, TX at Dodge Arena. The game can be heard on BOB FM 95.1 and the CHL Network.
