
905 Hand Go-Go Their First Loss of the Regular Season

Raptors 905 (2-3), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors handed Capital City Go-Go (5-1) their first loss of the regular season Monday evening. The 905 were led by Raptors assignee Dalano Banton who put up a game-high 29 points, adding seven rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block in the victory. Washington Wizards' assignee Vernon Carey Jr. led the Go-Go putting up a near triple-double with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.
Capital City opened the ball game strong, taking an early 5-11 advantage halfway through the first. The 905 quickly fought back as they went on a 21-12 run to close the opening frame. The home side continued to build off their momentum, opening the second on an 11-4 run. The 905 were able to extend their lead to as many as 24 points, but the Go-Go dropped the 905 lead to 10 going into the break.
The Go-Go came out of the break strong, outscoring the 905 by eight, and bringing the game within two as they entered the final 12 minutes. The two teams stayed neck-and-neck throughout the final frame, but 12 fourth-quarter points from Banton sealed the game for the 905.
Reggie Perry paced the 905 adding 21 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal, and two blocks. Capital City saw a strong effort from Kris Dunn who contributed 18 points, 10 assists, six rebounds, a steal, and two blocks in the loss.
The two teams meet again tomorrow evening to complete their season series, tip-off scheduled for 7:30 pm.
