
Second Half Rally Pushes Skyforce over Kings 112-106

Stockton, CA - After trailing by as many as 15 points, the Sioux Falls Skyforce handed the Stockton Kings their first loss of the season in a 112-106 comeback victory at Stockton Arena.
Jamaree Bouyea led Sioux Falls (5-2) with a career-high 34 points on 11-21 FGA, six rebounds, six assists and a plus-15 plus-minus.
Mychal Mulder posted 25 points on 7-16 3PA, five rebounds and two blocks. It marked the third time in the last four games he has secured 20-plus points. Dru Smith contributed 22 points on 8-16 FGA (4-6 3PA), three rebounds, six assists three steals and a team-high plus-17 plus-minus.
The victory was the first for Sioux Falls (5-2) in Stockton since 12/2/2018. The three-straight wins on the road is the longest streak away from the Sanford Pentagon since the 2017-18 season.
Sioux Falls jumped out to a 27-23 lead at the end of the first quarter behind 10 points and three assists from Smith.
Stockton (5-1) responded, shooting 50 percent from the field (13-26 FGA) and beyond the arc (6-12 3PA). Deonte Burton had 15 points on 5-7 FGA to pace the Kings to a 60-52 lead at intermission.
The Skyforce jumped out to a 22-9 run to start the third quarter, as Mychal Mulder scored eight points in the opening minute and a half of the period. He and Bouyea combined for 28 points on 11-16 FGA in the quarter alone, as they took a 41-19 advantage, which led to a 93-79 lead with 12 minutes remaining.
Sioux Falls was able to build up to an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter, as Stockton was able to cut the lead to just seven points at the 5:44 mark. They forced 10 Stockton turnovers and scored 13 points off them in the period to secure the victory.
The Skyforce finishes a five-game road swing on Thursday and Friday at the Santa Cruz Warriors (2-3). Tip-off is slated for 9:00 PM CST for both games at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The Kings host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (1-5) on Friday.
