
2B Witt Sold to Orioles

The reigning Frontier League rookie of the year, Tanner Witt, has been purchased by the Baltimore Orioles. Witt has been one of the most consistent players in the Frontier League since his arrival in 2014.
Witt totaled a .305 average with four home runs and 39 RBIs. He played every position on the field except catcher at least once last season. At the end of last years season Witt was purchased by the Chicago Cubs, but was released following Spring Training and returned to the Aviators.
In just 29 games this season Witt posted a .355 average with 1 home run and 22 RBIs. Witt is on his way to the Carolina League to play for the Fredrick Keys. This is a Class A advanced level. Witt joins left fielder Teo Martinez as the second player sold to a professional team from the Aviators this season.
