South Bend Cubs News Release
South Bend, IN - In search of finishing off a berth to the postseason for the first time since being crowned Midwest League Champions in 2019, the South Bend Cubs are in first place in the West Division and lead the Beloit Sky Carp by 6 games. Their magic number stands at 5. Tickets for the 2022 Midwest League Playoffs are available for purchase now.
If South Bend makes the playoffs, they will match-up in the first round with the first half West Division champ, the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The Cubs and Kernels are also set to play the regular season series finale in Iowa next week in a six-game series.
Game 1 of the Midwest League Playoffs would take place at Four Winds Field on September 13. First pitch would be set for 7:05 PM that night. Following the first game, the Cubs would travel to Cedar Rapids for game two, as well as game three, if necessary.
Should South Bend be victorious in round one, they would then move on to the Championship Series to take on the Division Series winner from the East. Game 1 of that series would also be at Four Winds Field on Sunday, September 18 at 6:05 PM.
Dugout box seats are $16 and field box seats are $14 in advance. Ticket prices will go up one dollar on the day of the game, so fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance.
