
2010 CHL All-Star Team Reserves Announced

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the 12 reserves that will play for the CHL All-Star Team that will play in the 2010 CHL All-Star Game scheduled for Wednesday, January 13 at the Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, Texas. The CHL All-Star Team will play a team of South Texas All-Stars made up of players from the Laredo Bucks, the Corpus Christi IceRays and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (the CHL team is comprised of players from the remaining 12 teams). The reserves were selected by CHL All-Star Team Head Coach Kevin McClelland (Colorado Eagles) along with the CHL Hockey Operations Department.
Of the 12 reserves, seven will be playing in their first CHL All-Star Game with defenseman Derek Landmesser (Mississippi) having the most seniority playing in his seventh All-Star Game. Former Oklahoma City defenseman Hardy Sauter has appeared in the most All-Star Games, eight. Other veterans of the CHL All-Star Game joining Landmesser are Bossier-Shreveport goaltender Ken Carroll (sixth appearance), Missouri forward Jeff Christian (fourth appearance), Odessa forward Dominic Leveille (fourth appearance) and Colorado forward Kevin Ulanski (second appearance).
The second-year Rapid City Rush have two reserves that will appear in the game with rookie goaltender Danny Battochio earning one of the three goalie spots and forward Les Reaney making his first CHL All-Star Game. Battochio began the season with the AHL's Chicago Wolves. In his 15 games with the Rush, the Sudbury, Ontario native is 9-3-1 with a 2.51 goals against average and a.920 save percentage. Reaney is tied for seventh in the CHL in scoring with 38 points (13-25=38).
The remaining players on the roster are Texas forward Jordan Cameron (9-23=32 in 30 games), Allen forward Bruce Graham (12-25=37 in 28 games), Wichita defenseman Jim Jorgensen (4-8=12 in 28 games), Amarillo defenseman Andrew Smale (5-13=18 in 31 games) and Arizona defenseman Jon Landry (5-17=22 in 27 games).
