
'08 First Rounder Hicks Joins Snappers

In conjunction with the Minnesota Twins catcher Juan Richardson has been promoted to high "A" Ft. Myers. To fill the twenty-five man roster, 2008 first round pick outfielder Aaron Hicks has been added to the Snappers roster.
In 18 games with the Snappers Richardson batted .271 with four RBI's and walked three times.
Drafted out of Woodrow Wilson High School Hicks is coming from extended spring training in Ft. Myers. Last season with the GCL Twins Hicks played in 45 games where he batted .318 in 173 at-bats with an on-base percentage of .409 and collected 27 RBI's.
Ranked the #1 prospect in the Twins organization by Baseball America Hicks led the GCL Twins in hits, home runs, RBI's, walks and stolen bases and ranked eighth in the GCL in batting average.
Hicks is expected to be in the starting line tonight at Pohlman Field where the Snappers will take on the Quad Cities River Bandits with first pitch scheduled at 7:00pm.
