Friday's Game Suspended Due to Weather

South Bend Silver Hawks News Release


South Bend, IN - The South Bend Silver Hawks were trailing the Fort Wayne TinCaps 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning when inclement weather forced the suspension of the rest of the game. The game will be completed from the point it was suspended through the scheduled nine innings Saturday beginning at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. Saturday's regularly scheduled game will follow, although shortened to seven innings.

Fans holding a ticket for Friday's game can exchange their tickets for any remaining Silver Hawks home game, including Saturday's game which will feature fireworks after the game to make up for Friday's postponement.

South Bend scored the first run of the game in the first, with Jake Elmore scoring from third on an errant pickoff throw for the 1-0 lead. Fort Wayne answered with three runs in the top of the third against Ryan Cook, scoring runs on a wild pitch, a balk, and a RBI single from Matt Clark for the 3-1 advantage.
