July 16, 2026 - WALDORF, MD - Southern Maryland Blue Crabs relief pitcher Rafi Vazquez had his contract purchased by the New York Mets in a deal that was announced today. Vazquez is the seventh member of the 2026 Blue Crabs to have his contract purchased by an affiliated organization and he is the third Crab this season to join the Mets, following infielders Jamari Baylor and Taylor Darden. July 15, 2026 - WALDORF, MD - The struggles at the plate continued for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (5-6, 46-28) in an 8-2 loss to the Charleston Dirty Birds (4-8, 27-47) on Wednesday at Regency Furniture Stadium. July 14, 2026 - WALDORF, MD - The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (5-5, 46-27) struggled at the plate in a 4-3 loss to the Charleston Dirty Birds (3-7, 26-47) on Tuesday night at Regency Furniture Stadium.
