Everett Silvertips News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - Carter Hart only needed to make 14 saves for his 10th career WHL shutout in 64 regular season and postseason games, while Remi Laurencelle and Graham Millar each scored twice to help the Everett Silvertips hammer the Moose Jaw Warriors in a 5-0 victory before a crowd of 5,278 at XFINITY Arena on Friday night.

The Silvertips won their sixth consecutive home game, shutting out an opponent on home ice for the third straight game while stretching their home shutout streak to 185:02. Hart's sixth shutout of the season, leading the WHL, is third most in one Silvertips season and the most since Michael Wall recorded ten in 2004-05. Hart's ten career shutouts tied Austin Lotz for third on the Silvertips' all-time list.

Laurencelle, earning his fifth goal in three games, recorded his fourth multi goal game of the season.

Millar's fifth goal of the season, a rebound at the blocker side of Brod Willms, staked Everett to a 1-0 lead at 10:06 of the first period on the power play. Just 37 seconds earlier, Brandon Ralph drew an instigator minor on defenseman Marc McNulty after Ralph delivered a crushing hit behind the Moose Jaw net and became entangled in a fight with the 6-foot-6 Warrior defenseman.

Laurencelle spiked a feed by Carson Stadnyk past Willms' left pad, at the right post, for a 2-0 lead at 2:15 of the second period for a 2-0 lead and Millar followed by finishing Noah Juulsen's deflection at the left post, 8:22 into the period for a three-goal cushion.

Moose Jaw, getting just one shot from Dryden Hunt (who entered the game with 19 goals, second in the league) through two periods, were held to a 21-7 shot gap entering the third period. They had scored nine goals in the last two games, including seven in the third periods, but were buried with a pair of goals in 57 seconds.

Tristen Pfeifer, earning his first strike since February 13, 2015, pushed the lead to 4-0 after the Silvertips hemmed Moose Jaw in their own zone for nearly a full minute. Jake Christiansen whipped a cross-ice pass to Pfeifer, beating Willms from the top of the right circle.

Laurencelle's second goal of the game and 10th of the season hiked the lead to 5-0, finishing Millar's centering pass off the rush.

Willms, playing for the fourth time in the last five games, had 25 saves in the loss.
