Lethbridge, AB. - The Brandon Wheat Kings opened up a 2-game weekend Alberta road trip Friday night by dropping a 4-2 decision to the Hurricanes in Lethbridge.

The ' Canes scored three unanswered goals to score a come from behind 4-2 win, snapping Brandon's modest two game win streak.

Goals by Tyler Wong and Justin Gutierrez two minutes apart - early in the second period - was the difference as Lethbridge handed Brandon its first regulation defeat to the Hurricanes in three years.

Gutierrez finished the night with two goals to lead the Hurricanes, who outshot Brandon 35-25.

Tanner Kaspick and John Quenneville replied for the Wheat Kings, who will travel to Medicine Hat to meet the Tigers on Saturday night.

Newly acquired blueliner Jordan Thomson made his Brandon debut Friday night, following Thursday's trade between the Wheat Kings and Swift Current Broncos.
