Mad Ants Finalize 2014-15 Training Camp Roster

FORT WAYNE, IN (November 1, 2014) - Upon completion of the 2014 NBA D-League Draft today, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants have finalized their 2014-15 training camp roster. The 17-man training camp roster will consist of two returning players, seven players acquired via Draft picks, five open tryout players, one player acquired via the affiliate training camp rule, one player acquired via the affiliate draft rights rule and one player, Myck Kabongo, acquired earlier this week in a trade with Austin.

Returning from the 2013-2014 NBA D-League Championship Mad Ants team are veteran forwards, Chris Porter and Ramon Harris. Porter averaged 8.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game last season with the Ants, and Harris averaged 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

Players selected by the Mad Ants during the 2014 Draft include (in order of selection): Andre Emmett, a 6'5 guard/forward, Titus Rubles, a 6'8 forward out of Cincinnati, Marcus Hall, a 6'1 point guard out of Colorado, Stephen Madison, a 6'5 guard out of Idaho, Stefan Bonneau, a 5'10 point guard out of C.W. Post, Marcus Simmons, a 6'6 guard out of USC and Kyrie Sutton, a 6'11 center out of Binghampton.

Open tryout players attending Mad Ants training camp are Marcus Lewis, a 6'4 shooting guard out of Eastern Kentucky, Greg Foster, a 6'2 point guard out of Saginaw Valley State, Justin Coleman, a 6'6 small forward out of Marshall, David Teague, a 6'5 shooting guard out of Purdue, and Bennie Lewis, a 6'7 small forward out of Benedict College.

Also attending training camp is C.J. Fair, a 6'8 rookie forward out of Syracuse-he comes to the Mad Ants via the affiliate training camp rule after participating in the Atlanta Hawks training camp, and Chu Maduabum, a 6'9 power forward who the Ants acquired from the Denver Nuggets via the affiliate draft rights rule.

The Mad Ants will tip off the 2014-15 regular season at the Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, November 15 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7:30 p.m. The home opener will feature a banner presentation and ring ceremony to commemorate the Mad Ants winning the 2014 NBA Development League Championship last season.
