Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs return to Hadlock Field on Tuesday, September 1st for the final homestand of the 2009 season. The Sea Dogs seven game homestand from Tuesday, September 1st through Monday, September 7th will feature many exciting promotions including a bobblehead doll giveaway, Fireworks, the fan favorite Field of Dreams game, and much more.

Jon Lester Bobblehead Doll Giveaway- Before Jon Lester was a star for the Boston Red Sox, he was the 2005 Eastern League Pitcher of the Year with the Portland Sea Dogs. The first 1,000 fans to enter the ballpark on September 1st will receive a Jon Lester bobblehead doll, courtesy of Northeast Delta Dental. Gates open at 4:30 PM.
Wednesday, September 2nd @ 6:00 PM vs. Trenton Thunder (Yankees)
Unum/ Sea Dogs Hall of Fame Announcement- Another former Sea Dogs player will be inducted in the Portland Sea Dogs Hall of Fame presented by UNUM. Find out which former player will join Livan Hernandez, Charles Johnson, Kevin Millar, Edgar Renteria, and others in the Sea Dogs Hall of Fame.
Thursday, September 3rd @ 6:00 PM vs. Trenton Thunder (Yankees)
Fireworks- Enjoy the final post-game fireworks show of the 2009 season, brought to you by Andover College.
Friday, September 4th @ 7:00 PM vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays)
1994 Night- The Portland Sea Dogs will remember the year 1994, the inaugural season of the Portland Sea Dogs. For first time since becoming a Red Sox affiliate in 2003, the Sea Dogs will wear the classic teal uniforms. Additionally, music from 1994 will played during the game along with videos and memories of the 1994 season.

Chad Little John Deere Night- The winners of two generators courtesy of Chad Little John Deere will be announced.
Sunday, September 6th @ 1:00 PM vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays))
Field of Dreams/ Fan Appreciation Day- One of the most popular games of the year, the players will wear replica 1926 Portland Eskimo uniforms and emerge from a cornfield that has been erected in centerfield. The players will then proceed into the stands to personally thank the fans for their support throughout the 2009 season.
Field of Dreams Scholarship Presentation- The Portland Sea Dogs and the Nextgen College Investing Plan will be presenting three scholarships to Maine students. The scholarship winners have been selected through a statewide essay contest. The winners will be announced during the middle of the 5th inning on top of the visitors' dugout (third base side).
Monday, September 7th @ 1:00 PM vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays)
Team Awards Presentation- Winners will be announced of the annual team awards. Awards will be presented for MVP, Pitcher of the Year, 10th Player, and Citizen of the Year. The team awards will be presented on-field at 12:40 PM.

The Portland Sea Dogs are mathematically alive in the Eastern League playoff race. With eight games remaining in the regular season, the Sea Dogs sit in fourth place five games behind the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins) for the final playoff spot in the Eastern League's Northern Division. The top two teams in each division advance to the playoffs. The Sea Dogs are looking to qualify for post-season play for the fifth consecutive season. Playoff tickets are available by contacting the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500.
Individual tickets for the 2010 season will go on sale on Saturday, November 7th at 9:00 AM at the Hadlock Field Ticket Office.
