Jennie Finch to Appear at Canaries Game

Sioux Falls, SD - Olympic Softball Champion Jennie Finch will appear alongside five teammates at the Sioux Falls Canaries game on Saturday, August 29. Finch's appearance, presented by the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce, is in conjunction with the youth fast pitch softball clinic being put on August 28, 29, and 30 by the South Dakota Fusion Softball Team and the Augustana College Softball Team.

"Jennie Finch and her Olympic teammates are legends in the softball world," said Canaries Assistant General Manager Chris Schwab. "We are thankful that our great partners, the Fusion Orange Softball team, Augustana Softball, and Deadwood Chamber of Commerce have worked with us to bring these Olympians to our game."

Jennie and her fellow Olympians will take part in a pre-game first pitch ceremony at the Canaries August 29 game. Details on the fast pitch softball clinic and the accompanying Dinner of Champions can be found at www.sdfusion.org and www.jenniefinch.com.
