The Lincoln Saltdogs scored six runs in the second inning to take a 6-1 lead and held on late to nip Grand Prairie by a run at home. Trailing 6-2 entering the seventh inning, the AirHogs rallied for four runs to tie the game, but a solo home run off the bat of Lincoln 3B Brandon Jones in the eighth inning gave the Saltdogs the lead again and proved to be the difference. Jones led the way offensively in the contest, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Lincoln reliever Matt Petrusek earned his second win while closer Chris Thompson notched his 29th save.

St. Paul 8, Sioux Falls 3

St. Paul starting pitcher Tom Buske allowed one run on six hits while striking out four in seven innings of work to lead the Saints past Sioux Falls and earn his fourth win of the season. Saints 1B Jason Cooper led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. St. Paul 3B Brent Krause also homered and was 1-for-4 with a pair of runs driven in. Sioux Falls CF Beau Torbert was 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in the losing effort.

Wichita LF Greg Porter was 1-for-4 with a three-run home run to lead the Wingnuts to a 5-3 win against Sioux City. Wichita starter William Savage pitched well, allowing three runs on six hits in five innings of work but did not factor in the decision. Instead it was reliever Joe D'Alessandro who was credited with the victory, his second. D'Alessandro allowed one hit in 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Wingnuts reliever Justin Dowdy closed things out in the ninth to earn his 14th save.
