Pensacola Pelicans News Release

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Pelicans are pleased to announce that at the final two Friday games the United States Marine Corps from MATSG-21 will be at the Pelican Park to help cheer on the Pelicans during their "push for the playoffs." Pelicans baseball is affordable family fun with tickets starting at just $7 each.

Pelicans season ticket holders and corporate sponsors have generously donated their unused tickets to MATSG-21 for the group to enjoy exciting baseball at Pelican Park. In total, more than 600 young marines will be on hand on August 21 and 28 to cheer on the Pelicans.

"We are thrilled to have a group of Marines at the park again this season. They bring a lot of excitement to the crowd and it's a great opportunity for our fans to thank them for their service," said Pelicans Assistant General Manager, Jason Libbert.

The Pelicans begin a three game weekend home series on Friday versus the El Paso Diablos. They are currently in first place of the South Division in the American Association. With seven home games left in the regular season, fans are encouraged to come out and support their home town team as they try to clinch a spot in the playoffs.

Every person that buys a ticket to the following games will receive a FREE ticket to the final regular season game on Sunday, August 30. Purchase tickets online, at the box office or in the Pelicans office for games on August 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, or 29 to get your free ticket.
