New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, have won Baseball America's online Logo Mania contest as the Minor League Baseball Team making the 'Best Use of a Cat Mascot.' The Fisher Cats captured an overwhelming 59% of the vote, defeating the Sacramento River Cats (36%), the Tri-City ValleyCats (2%), the New Britain Rock Cats (1%) and the Lynchburg Hillcats (1%) in an online poll conducted at www.baseballamerica.com. Results of the voting are available in the current issue of Baseball America, on newsstands now.

"We want to thank the best fans in baseball for providing us with the support necessary to capture this award," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "Anytime you win a nationwide vote in a publication as well-respected as Baseball America, it is quite an honor."

The Fisher Cats released their new primary logo in November 2007, featuring a silver Fisher Cat peaking over the words 'Fisher Cats' in emerald green script with his paws clutching the letters. 'New Hampshire' appears in arched block lettering over the Fisher Cat's head, while the tail grips a baseball underneath the script. Rickabaugh Graphics of Gahanna, OH designed the Fisher Cats' new image.

The Fisher Cats open a three-game series against the Connecticut Defenders tonight at 7:05pm. Tonight is NHHEAF Honor Roll Night. For tickets, visit www.nhfishercats.com or call (603) 641-2005.
