Homestand Preview: April 7 to April 16
Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium Daily Specials!
104.5 KDAT Sunday Family Fun Day: Every Sunday home game, enjoy selected snacks for $1. Fans can get autographs from the Kernels players on the concourse from 1:20 to 1:40 pm. Play Travel Advisors Baseball Vacation Bingo for a chance to win a trip to see an Angels game. And after the game, kids (and adults) can run the bases and play catch on the field.
Mix 96.5/WMT AM 600 Belly Buster Monday: Enjoy all you can eat hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and peanuts for $7, plus the cost of a ticket.
1600 ESPN Sports Radio Triple Play Tuesday: A combo meal, consisting of a regular sandwich (hamburger, cheeseburger, hot dog or bratwurst), plus a 20 oz. soda or 16 oz. beer and chips or popcorn is just $6 all game.
Z 102.9 Wii Wednesday: Register at the main gates with Z 102.9 as two fans will play Wii games. Regular hot dogs are just $1 all game. Plus, the first 250 fans through the gates get a sample bag of Dale and Thomas Popcorn Indiana popcorn.
100.7 The Fox Thirsty Thursday: 12 oz. draft beer is $1.50 all game and get bottled soda and water for $2.
The waiting is over! It's time take the field and kick off the 2008 Midwest League season! The Kernels begin 2008 with a 10-game homestand and there's plenty going on!
April 7 - April 10 vs. Quad City River Bandits
It's Opening Day and the Kernels kick off the season with a noon game, sponsored by KCRG TV9, The Gazette and 104.5 KDAT. Get your 2008 Kernels Magnet Schedules, courtesy of MercyCare Community Physicians and enjoy all you can eat hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and peanuts for $7, plus the cost of a ticket. Gates open at 11 am!
On Tuesday, April 8th, enjoy the 1600 ESPN Sports Radio Triple Play Combo. 2008 Magnet Schedules will be available from MercyCare Community Physicians when the gates open at 5:30 and the Kernels take on the River Bandits at 6:30 pm.
The first Z 102.9 Wii Wednesday has fans signing up to play Wii games. Regular hot dogs are $1 and the first 250 fans through the gates when they open at 5:30 pm receive a free sample bag of Popcorn Indiana Kettlecorn. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
The Kernels welcome special guests from Kenwood Elementary to the game on Thursday, April 10th. It's also the first 100.7 The Fox Thirsty Thursday where 12 oz. draft beer is $1.50 and bottled soda and water are $2.
April 11 - April 13 vs. Lansing Lugnuts
The Kernels welcome students, staff and family members from Truman and Hoover Elementary Schools to Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, April 11. It's our first 94.1 KRNA Progressive Beer Night. For the first hour after the gates open at 5:30 pm, beer is $1, the second hour it goes up to $2, the third hour - $3 and after 8:30 pm, it's regular price, so get here early. First pitch between the Kernels and Lugnuts is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
It's African American Day at Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 12th when the Kernels take on Lansing at 2:00 pm. The Kernels welcome guests from Horn Elementary in Iowa City to the game. Gates open at 1:00 pm.

April 14 - April 16 vs. Great Lakes Loons
The first Mix 96.5 FM Belly Buster Monday is April 14th when the Kernels take on the Great Lakes Loons at 6:30 pm. Enjoy all you can eat hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and peanuts for just $7, plus the cost of a ticket. The Kernels welcome fans from Frances Marion Intermediate School in Marion to the game. Gates open at 5:30 pm.

The Kernels are also launching RIBS AND BEER NIGHT on the Randy Kuehl Honfidence Pavilion.
