A LOOK AHEAD:
Saturday, Nov. 12 - Penguins @ Portland Pirates, 7:05pm Cumberland County Civic Center
NOTES:
- This is the first of two meetings between the Penguins and Pirates this season. The teams will face-off in Wilkes-Barre on March 22.
- The Pens and Pirates split last season's series, with each taking 1-0 victories at home (in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 29; in Portland on Feb. 17.)
- The Penguins have an all-time record of 4-4-2-0 against the Pirates for 10 points and have been outscored 18-13.

Sunday, Nov. 13 - Penguins @ Hartford Wolf Pack, 4:00pm Hartford Civic Center
NOTES:
- This is the first of two meetings against Hartford. The Wolf Pack will travel to Pennsylvania on Dec. 28.
- The Penguins and Wolf Pack split last year's series, with each winning on home ice (Wilkes-Barre, 3-1, on Nov. 24; Hartford, 4-2, on Nov. 27).
- The Penguins have an all-time regular season record of 2-6-1-0 with one tie against the Wolf Pack.


A LOOK BACK
Friday, Nov. 4, SPRINGFIELD FALCONS 4 @ Penguins 3 (OT)
The Penguins suffered their first non-win of the season, falling to the Falcons in overtime. Ben Eaves, Colby Armstrong and Jonathan Filewich helped the Pens to overcome an early 2-0 deficit to force OT, where Doug O'Brien's bouncing shot eluded goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. Wilkes-Barre out-shot Springfield, 40-15. Attendance: 7,811.

Saturday, Nov. 5, Philadelphia Phantoms 1 @ PENGUINS 4
Daniel Carcillo, Noah Welch, Matt Hussey and Stephen Dixon scored for the Penguins, who posted their eighth win against East Division opponents in eight tries this season. Fleury stopped 23 of 24 shots in the win, the 10th of the season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Attendance: 8,369.

Sunday, Nov. 6, PENGUINS 5 @ Philadelphia Phantoms 4 (SO)
The Penguins battled from behind for most of the game, coming back from 1-0 and 3-1 deficits to take a 4-3 lead late on goals by Ryan Stone, Daniel Carcillo, Matt Hussey and Tomas Surovy. Pat Kavanagh forced overtime with his third period tally, but neither team could find the net in the extra frame. Wilkes-Barre took the shootout, scoring four times in nine opportunities to the Phantoms' three.

SEASON STARTING WINNING STREAK FALLS SHORT OF LEAGUE RECORD
- The Penguins won their first nine games of the season before falling to the Springfield Falcons, 4-3, in overtime on Nov. 4. The nine straight wins were two short of the league record for consecutive victories from the beginning of the season, set by the Rochester Americans in 1984.
- The nine consecutive wins were the most in a row in Penguins' history, breaking the previous team record of seven set from October 21, 2000 through November 4, 2000.

PENGUINS ROAD STREAK SITS AT SEVEN
- The Penguins have won seven consecutive regular season road contests dating back to April 10, 2005. The ended the 2004-05 road campaign with wins against the Hershey Bears (3-2 on April 10) and the Norfolk Admirals (2-0 on April 15) and have won their first five road games this season.
- The Penguins previous record for consecutive road victories was five, set from Oct. 27, 2000 through Nov. 26, 2000.

INDIVIDUAL STREAKS
- Michel Ouellet: seven-game point streak (Oct. 22-Nov. 6, 5+8=13).
- Matt Hussey: six-game point streak (Oct. 23-29, 4+5=9).

INDIVIDUAL LEAGUE LEADERS (all stats as of 11/09)
- Marc-Andre Fleury is first in the league with a 1.49 goals against average (12 goals against/483 minutes played), is third with a .938 save percentage (12 goals against/194 shots) and is first with seven wins.
- Michel Ouellet is tied for fourth with 19 points, tied for second with 13 assists, tied for ninth with six power play assists and tied for eighth with a plus-8 rating.
- Dany Sabourin is 14th overall with a .915 save percentage (12 goals against/141 shots).
- Daniel Carcillo is tied for third among rookies with 12 points (5+7) and is tied for second with seven assists. Carcillo is tied for 14th overall with a plus-7 rating and tied for 20th in overall scoring.
- Noah Welch is first overall with a plus-12 rating.
- Ryan Lannon is tied for second with a plus-11 rating.
- Tomas Surovy is tied for second with a plus-11 rating and is tied for 20th in overall scoring with 12 points.
- Matt Hussey is tied for 16th with 13 points (6+7), is tied for second with two game-winning goals, and fourth overall with plus-9 ratings.
- Colby Armstrong is tied for fourth with a plus-9 rating.
- Alain Nasreddine is tied for fourth with a plus-9 rating.

TEAM LEAGUE LEADERS (all stats as of 10/31)
- Power-Play - the Penguins rank third overall with a 23.4 success rate (18 goals/77 chances).
- Penalty Killing - the Penguins are seventh overall at 86.2% (13 goals against/94 times shorthanded).

MILESTONES
- Stephen Dixon and Noah Welch each netted his first career goal in Saturday night's win against the Philadelphia Phantoms.
