November 9, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Binghamton Senators News Release
BINGHAMTON - The Binghamton Senators today announced a partnership with UPN-8 to locally televise ten Senators home games live during the 2005-06 season. Saturday's contest with the Philadelphia Phantoms will be the first televised game.
The television broadcasts will begin five minutes prior to faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, the voice of the Senators, handling the play-by-play duties. UPN is broadcast on channel eight in the Southern Tier and also occupies channel eight on Time Warner Cable in Greater Binghamton.
"Our partnership with UPN-8 will be a great instrument for our continued efforts to expand our fan base throughout the region," said Terry Buczkowski, the Senators vice president of marketing.
No more than four Senators games have been televised locally in any of the club's three previous seasons.
"All of us at Fox-40 and UPN-8 are thrilled to add B-Sens hockey to our programming line up," added John Leet, the general manager of both Fox-40 and UPN-8. The Senators complete local television schedule follows:
