Iowa recalls center from Augusta Lynx

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced today that the American Hockey League team has recalled center Jamie Johnson from the Augusta (GA) Lynx of the ECHL.

A 5-11, 185 pound forward, Johnson is tied for first on the Lynx with six points through seven games: 7(2/4/6). He has registered goals in his last two games and has put together a four game point-streak, notching two goals and three assists in the span: 4(2/3/5).

Registering more than a point per game, he appeared in 72 games last season with the Lynx. The Port Franks, Ontario native scored 22 goals while adding 58 assists in his sophomore professional campaign: 72(22/58/80)26. He was born on January 23, 1982.

NEXT GAME: The Iowa Stars are on the road Friday night in Milwaukee, before returning home to host the Toronto Marlies at 7:05 PM on Saturday and the Peoria Rivermen on Sunday at 5:05 PM.
