Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis struggled with the bats for the fourth consecutive night losing 3-1 to New Orleans, who completed the four-game sweep.

For the second straight night Ryan Church hit a solo home run in the first inning to put the Zephyrs on the board first. Church drove in his second run of the night with a double in the third inning to make the score 2-0. Church drove in two runs and went 2-for-3 with two RBI on the night, and Henry Mateo and Tyrell Godwin each had two hits for the Z's. Brian Daubach went 2-for-4 and Kevin Estrada scored the lone Redbirds run in the seventh inning on a Skip Schumaker groundout.

Memphis starter Dennis Tankersley (2-6) allowed two runs on eight hits in seven innings with three strikeouts. The loss is his team-leading sixth. Anastacio Martinez (2-2) earned the win with five scoreless innings and six strikeouts. The right-hander scattered three hits and walked one in his eighth start for New Orleans. Roy Corcoran pitched a spotless ninth inning to earn his third save of the series and third with the Zephyrs this season.

Memphis will travel to Albuquerque on Thursday after an off day tomorrow. The Isotopes will send left-hander Justin Vargas (1-1) to the mound in game one. The ‘Birds will counter with John Webb (3-4). Game time is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. CST.
