The 51s, under manager Jerry Royster, are currently on a road trip that will conclude today in Sacramento, Calif. The 51s, 32-26, are in second place in the Pacific Conference Southern Division, 1.5 games behind Tucson.

The 51s will host Tacoma in a four-game series from Thursday-Sunday, June 8-11. The series opener on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. will feature Budweiser Dollar Beer Night. Every Thursday home game throughout the season will feature Dollar Beer Night.

Game two of the series on Friday, June 9 at 7:05 p.m. will feature a post-game Fireworks spectacular. Saturday's contest will also begin at 7:05 p.m. and the 51s will present Dodger Cap Night to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. The annual Dodger Throwback Night will also be featured and the 51s players will wear Brooklyn Dodger uniforms. The jerseys will be auctioned off to fans after the game and the money raised will be donated to a local charity. The highlight of the evening will be the return of former Dodger great Steve Garvey to Cashman Field. Garvey, who appeared at Cashman Field on July 24, 2004 for Dodger Throwback Night, will participate in the pre-game festivities and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. He will also be available for an autograph signing session in the Club Level Restaurant.

Garvey played a total of 19 seasons at first base, 14 with the Dodgers (1969-82) and 5 with San Diego (1983-87). Garvey was the 1974 National League MVP, a 10-time All-Star, a four-time Gold Glove winner and the 1978 and 1984 NLCS MVP, when he led the San Diego Padres to the World Series against Detroit. Garvey compiled a .294 career batting average, hit a career-high .319 in 1975 and drove in 100 plus runs in five seasons. He was the Dodger's 13th overall pick in the 1968 draft. He helped lead the Dodgers to the 1981 World Series Championship over the New York Yankees.

Right-hander Chad Billingsley, the Dodgers Top Prospect according to Baseball America, is scheduled to be the starting pitcher in Saturday's contest. Billingsley has made 12 starts and has a 5-3 record with a 3.97 ERA. He has pitched 65.2 innings, allowed 53 hits and has struck out 72, which ranks second in the PCL.

The finale of the four-game series will feature a matinee contest on Sunday, June 11 at 12:05 p.m.

Right-handed pitcher Mike Nannini of the Tacoma Rainiers will be returning home to Las Vegas. Nannini is a 1998 graduate of Green Valley High School. He was selected in the first round (37th overall pick) by the Houston Astros in the 1998 First-Year player Draft. In 2005, he was a member of the Toronto Blue Jays organization and pitched at Triple-A Syracuse and Double-A Midland.

Infielder Michael Garciaparra, the younger brother of L.A.'s Nomar Garciaparra, is also a member of the Rainiers.

The 51s will then open a four-game series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, from Monday-Thursday, June 12-15, with all games at 7:05 p.m.

Wednesday's contest will feature Dollar Hot Dog Night and Budweiser Dollar Beer Night will be presented in the finale of the home stand on Thursday, June 15.
