Zombie Night to Invade Shaw Park

Many have tried to invade Shaw Park over the last 16 years, but none have been as relentless as the living dead coming to the ballpark this weekend.
Presented by Energy 106, the Winnipeg Goldeyes are hosting Zombie Night on Saturday, August 29 as the Goldeyes battle the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at 6:00 pm.
"This is by far the most unique theme we have this season," Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier said. "Our staff has put a great deal of effort into this and we are hopeful that our fans will enjoy this one-of-a-kind theme game."
Fans are encouraged to come early dressed in their best zombie make-up and costume to participate in the pre-game, on-field Zombie Walk, that starts at 5:30 pm and will also have the opportunity to win great prizes.
Prior to the game, Time Machine will perform on the Winnipeg Free Press Stage. During the game, the Undead Newlyweds will be roaming the ballpark and fans can participate in a Zombie trivia contest.
Winnipeg Harvest will be accepting non-perishable food items at the to build up reserves for the apocalypse.
To commemorate the evening, the Dugout Souvenir Store will be selling Goldeyes Zombie Night t-shirts for $18.99.
Theme may not be suitable for young children.
