Young Lifts Senators to Walk-Off Win

The Harrisburg Senators walked off the Altoona Curve with a 4-3 win Sunday afternoon at FNB Field. Jacob Young hit a bases-loaded sacrifice fly to score Lucius Fox from third base giving the Senators their third straight win. Altoona had rallied in the ninth inning to tie the game and had the go ahead at second base with one out but Tyler Schoff pitched out of the jam with two strikeouts. Altoona scored first, a home run in the first inning, to take a 1-0 lead. Harrisburg scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take a 3-1 lead.

The Big Play

The game was tied 3-3 in the last of the ninth inning. The Senators loaded the bases with one out and Jacob Young at the plate. Young hit a 2-2 pitch into fairly deep right center field scoring pinch runner Lucius Fox from third base giving the Senators a 4-3 win.

On Capitol Hill

Lucas Knowles made the start for the Senators and pitched four strong innings. He allowed a run on two hits... Malvin Pena followed going 1.2 scoreless innings... Garvin Alston allowed a run in one inning of work... Reid Schaller tossed 1.1 scoreless innings... Tyler Schoff allowed a run in the ninth but struck out the final two batters with the go ahead run at third base.

With the Gavel

Harrisburg managed seven hits Sunday after smacking 17 Saturday night... Frankie Tostado went 2-4 and drove in a run and singled leading off the ninth inning... Terone Harris III had an RBI double... Robert Hassell III drove in a run with an RBI double.

Filibusters

Harrisburg took four of six from Altoona... The Senators turned two more double plays Sunday afternoon giving them 12 for the series... The time of the game was 2:27... The attendance was 3,247.
