
Yefrey Ramirez Added to Pioneer League All-Star Team

Yefrey Ramirez has been added to the Pioneer League All-Star team, it was announced on Sunday afternoon. Ramirez will take the spot of Christian Trent (Helena) who is scheduled to start for the Brewers today and will be unavailable to pitch in the All-Star game.
Ramirez, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has pitched to a 3-2 record with a 3.80 ERA over eight starts this year for the Osprey. The right-hander currently sports the sixth-lowest ERA in the league and owns the second-best WHIP (1.09) and fifth-lowest opponent average (.246). Tied for the Pioneer League league in strikeouts with 43, he has tossed 45 innings and has registered a team-high five quality starts.
With the addition of Ramirez, Missoula now has six All-Stars headed to tomorrow's game. Starters Isan Diaz (SS) and Austin Byler (1B) are joined by catcher Luke Lowery and pitchers Ramirez, Cameron Smith and Dan Savas.
The inaugural Pioneer Baseball League vs. Northwest League All-Star Game will be held on August 4, 2015 at Avista Stadium in Spokane, Wash. - the home of the Spokane Indians of the Northwest League.
