GF WINS THIRD STRAIGHT

For the second straight night, it was the eighth inning that proved the difference for Great Falls, as they scored two in the eighth to break a 4-4 tie Saturday. Antonio Rodriguez provided the winning knock for the Voyagers, a triple to straightaway center to score Johan Cruz. Rodriguez scored later on the play after a Helena throwing error. Danny Dopico then struck out the side in a scoreless ninth to earn the win in relief. The win was the third straight for Great Falls, tying their season-high. The Voyagers go for a sweep of their four-game series against the Brewers this afternoon at Centene Stadium in the final game before the All-Star break.

CRUZIN' ALONG

Great Falls infielder Johan Cruz went 2-for-4 last night, including his second home run of the year in the first. The 19-year old has collected three straight multi-hit efforts in this series for the Voyagers, and five of the six hits have been for extra bases, with four doubles and a homer. For the season, Cruz is now hitting .315, and his 11 doubles are tied for most on the Voyagers.

ALL-STAR BREAK COMING UP

After this afternoon's series finale against Helena, the Voyagers will be off for the next three days for the All-Star Break. Great Falls will send three to Spokane for the inaugural NWL/PBL All-Star Game, as lefty Tanner Banks, right-hander Evin Einhardt, and catcher Zach Fish will represent the Voyagers. Banks, who has the lowest ERA in the league among qualified pitchers at 1.14, will get the start on the mound for the PL in Tuesday's game. The southpaw will be joined by Fish in the starting lineup, as the former Oklahoma State Cowboy will serve as the league's starting designated hitter. Einhardt is scheduled to come out of the Pioneer League's bullpen.

DOMINATING THE BREWERS

The Voyagers have dominated the Brewers so far in 2015, taking nine of the season's first ten meetings, including eight in a row after last night's win. The Voyagers have been perfect at home so far against Helena, taking all seven meetings at Centene Stadium. Great Falls is now 20-6 against Helena over the last two seasons, their most wins against any opponent in that span.
