MISSOULA, MONT. - Reydel Medina blasted a pair of solo home runs as the Billings Mustangs (20-22) notched three round-trippers in a 4-2 victory over the Missoula Osprey (25-17) on Saturday night from Ogren Park Allegiance Field.

Medina hit his first homer of the night in the second inning before connecting for his second in the eighth. The left-handed hitter finished the game 2-for-4 with two runs scored and the two RBI. Shane Mardirosian provided the rest of the offense for Billings, hitting his first homer of the year, a solo shot, in the third before driving in a run in the fifth with an RBI-single to chase home Zach Shields. Mardirosian finished the game 3-for-4 with a run scored, the homer, two RBI and a walk.

Trailing 2-0 headed to the fourth, Missoula plated its first run of the game in the fourth inning when Raymel Flores drew a leadoff walk and came home to score on a two-out RBI-double from Isan Diaz. Diaz registered his 17th multi-hit game of the year, finishing 2-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI and a walk while hitting out of the leadoff spot in the order.

Austin Byler, who had a 13-game hit streak snapped with an 0-for-3, drove in the second and final run for the O's in the seventh, delivering a sacrifice fly to deep left-centerfield to drive home Diaz. The left-handed hitting first baseman also came to the plate as the winning run in the ninth inning, and came within a few feet of belting a walk-off homer over the wall in centerfield to win the game. Unfortunately for the O's, Shields made the catch at the base of the wall, handing Jimmy Herget his seventh save of the year one out later.

Despite registering his fifth quality start in eight turns this year, Yefrey Ramirez was tagged with the loss and fell to 3-2. The right-hander allowed just three runs on seven hits (two homers) and one walk over 6.0 innings while striking out five.

Missoula will conclude the four-game series with the Mustangs tomorrow at 5:05 pm MT. The game against the Mustangs will also be the last before Monday's All-Star Break.
