LEADING OFF: West Virginia rallied from a seven run deficit on Tuesday for a 10-9 win over Kannapolis. The Intimidators scored six runs against Power starter Bret Helton in the second and led 8-1 after five and a half innings. The Power scored once in the sixth and three times in the seventh and trailed 8-5. After Kannapolis added a run in the top of the eighth, West Virginia scored five runs on four hits three walks and one error in the home half of the inning. John Bormann drove in the eventual winning run to give Jake Burnette a win and tag Matt Ball with the loss. Ryan Nagle and Daniel Arribas had three hits apiece and Carlos Munoz drove in three runs to key the comeback.

GREAT EIGHT: West Virginia has won eight in a row for the first time since 2013 and have the longest winning streak in all of baseball, regardless of level. The Power had not won eight in a row since July of the 2013 season and haven't won more than eight straight since a ten game winning streak in 2009 from August 8 through 18. Tuesday's victory clinched the four straight series win to open the 2016 season.

VIVA VIVAS: Julio Vivas was added to the Power roster from Extended Spring Training on Tuesday. The right-hander appeared in 25 games for the Power last season after opening the year with Bradenton. Vivas was 3-1 for West Virginia with an ERA of 3.00 and two saves.

RATLEDGE OUT: Logan Ratledge was transferred to the WV Black Bears roster on Tuesday to make room for Julio Vivas. Ratledge, an infielder, was the winning pitcher in Monday night's 16 inning game. He was hitless over seven at bats in the South Atlantic League this year. Ratledge was, however, 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA.

MARATHON MEN: Monday's game was the longest in the history of Appalachian Power Park. No game had lasted longer than 15 innings since the stadium opened in 2005. The longest game time-wise prior to Monday's five hour and one minute game was four hours and 57 minutes on July 22, 2010 against Savannah. The longest game in Power history was a 19 inning contest in 2011 at Greensboro that lasted five hours and nine minutes.

HAYES YA! Ke'Bryan Hayes hit his first pro home run and went 4-6 Monday, driving in five of the Power's eight runs. Hayes and Mitchell Tolman had four hits apiece, becoming the first West Virginia players with four hit games this season. Hayes is the first Power player to Drive in five since Jerrick Suiter plated five runs on July 12, 2015 at Greensboro.

DIVISION RIVAL? The Power close this series against Northern Division foe Kannapolis today. West Virginia and Kannapolis played 15 times last season, but only see each other for seven games this year; this three-game set and then again in August for a four-game series at Intimidators Stadium. West Virginia leads the all-time series 64-59.

NINE TO A DIME: Tito Polo has hit safely in each game he has played this season. The outfielder is batting .348 with 16 hits over 46 at bats over ten games. Polo's longest hitting streak in 2015 was seven games. Francisco Diaz had the longest hitting streak by any Power player last season, reaching by way of a base hit in 14 straight to end the season.

POWER POINTS: The next former Power player to reach the Majors will be the 50th to do so in franchise history... Alfredo Reyes hitting streak is now at six games and the shortstop is batting .318 since April 12... Logan Ratledge was the first position player to pitch for West Virginia in nearly two years. Adam Landecker was the last to do so, pitching on July 1, 2014 against the Hickory Crawdads.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh lost the series opener 5-4 to San Diego. The Friars hit three home runs to beat the Buccos... Indianapolis fell 5-3 to Toledo... Harrisburg scored two in the first and beat Altoona 2-1... Bradenton plated seven runs in the top of the first to beat Palm Beach 11-5. Michael Suchy drove in four.

PROMO UPDATE: The Power will host a Faith and Family Festival on April 30. Gates open at 1:00 pm with a 2:05 first pitch against Asheville. After the final out, KJ-52 and Abandon will perform live.

ON THE AIR: West Virginia Power games can be heard on Charleston's ESPN Radio 104.5 FM and 1490 AM in Charleston, online at wvpower.com and on the TuneIn Radio App.

Adam Marco will call the action once again and will be joined by Greg Wong when the team plays at Appalachian Power Park.
