5-2 Record at Home: Lexington won on Opening Day and kept on winning at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, finishing the chilly first homestand at 5-2. After facing a tough West Virginia Power team and losing 4 straight, the Legends rebounded with a couple wins over Asheville on Monday & Tuesday night, bringing the overall record to 7-6.
Burt's streak ends at 68: 2B D.J. Burt was 0-for-5 in Saturday's game, ending his on-base streak at 68 games. He reached base in his last 54 regular-season games with Idaho Falls (PIO) and all six playoff games with the Chukars. He also reached base in the first eight games he played for the Legends in 2016. The minor league record is 74, set by Andrew Velazquez of South Bend in 2014. The major league record is 84, set by Ted Williams of the Boston Red Sox in 1949. - Keith Elkins on the Lexington Legends
