TWO FOR TUESDAY: The Power split a doubleheader with the Shorebirds on Tuesday, winning game one 8-3 and falling 6-2 in the nightcap. West Virginia trailed 3-0 after an inning and a half in the first game, but rallied for eight unanswered runs, including a five-run sixth inning. Jose Hernandez, Bengie Gonzalez, and Evan Chambers had key hits during the five run rally and combined to drive in five of the eight runs. In game two, Delmarva pitchers combined to limit the Power to a season-low one base hit; a run scoring double by Aaron Baker.

THREE STRAIGHT THEN STOPPED: Tuesday's game one win was the third consecutive victory by the Power and gave them their longest winning streak of the season. The streak was snapped three hours later when the second game of the doubleheader concluded. The Power had lost their five previous attempts to win a third consecutive game by finals of 3-2, 6-3, 5-0, 9-3, and 4-0 final scores.

SIX AND DONE: Evan Chambers and David Rubinstein saw their hitting streaks extended and snapped on the same day. Each player went 1-4 in game one of the doubleheader to extend their streaks to six straight games. Both players went hitless during the nightcap and saw those same streaks come to an end. Both streaks began on May 12, with Chambers batting .393 (11-28) during his six -game run and Rubinstein batting .435 (10-23) during his streak.

STROKIN': Rogelio Noris has hit a team-high five home runs this season, and four of those have come at Appalachian Power Park. Noris, who homered on Sunday, hit home runs in three straight home games from May 6 though 8 against Greensboro and Kannapolis, respectively. Noris' only other home run was on April 25 in a 10-6 game one win at Kannapolis.

BETTER HERE AGAINST THE BIRDS: West Virginia is 27-33 all-time against Delmarva heading into this season's first meeting between the clubs. The Power took the 2009 set 8-3, and have fared better at Appalachian Power Park. The Power have a 19-15 edge at home, but have lost 18 of 26 on the road in the all-time series. 13 of this season's 18 games against Delmarva are at Appalachian Power Park.

MOVIN' ON UP: Victor Black was added to the Power roster Sunday and made his South Atlantic League debut in the Power's win over Delmarva. Black was selected in the supplemental portion of the first round during the 2009 draft from Dallas Baptist University. Black replaced Hunter Strickland on the West Virginia roster. Strickland was promoted to the Bradenton Marauders Sunday morning.

POWER POINTS: The Power played in their first extra inning game of the season on Saturday. West Virginia was the only team in the league who had not played an extra inning game this season prior their 7-6 ten inning win... West Virginia is 14-0 when scoring five or more runs in a game this year and 3-21 when scoring four or less.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh edged Philadelphia 2-1. Zach Duke earned the win as the Pirates sent Roy Halladay to his second loss of the year... Indianapolis blanked Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre 3-0... Altoona was shutout by Akron 2-0... Bradenton beat Dunedin by a 6-1 final.
