GREENSBORO, NC - Colby Shreve was dominant through six innings, and the BlueClaws scored three times in the top of the seventh for a come-from-behind win in game two of a doubleheader Wednesday.

Shreve (3-0) struck out six while allowing just two runs on five hits. Despite his strong performance Lakewood (22-18) trailed 2-0 and were down to their last three outs in the seventh before finally getting on the board.

Adam Buschini led off the inning with a base hit, and after a Domingo Santana walk Alan Schoenberger loaded the bases by reaching on a sacrifice bunt.

That's when Jiwan James evened the score with one swing, a two-run double to center to make it 2-2. Leandro Castro then hit a sacrifice fly to put Lakewood up 3-2.

Eric Massingham pitched a scoreless ninth for his second save of the season.

Grasshoppers (18-22) starter Edgar Olmos silenced the BlueClaws bats through much of the game, giving up three hits and striking out seven in five scorless innings. Natividad Dilone (0-1) blew the save and took his first loss.

The BlueClaws return to FirstEnergy Park Thursday night at 6:35, as Jonathan Pettibone (2-1, 4.84) takes on West Virginia righty Hunter Strickland (0-4, 5.86).

ClawsNotes: Jonathan Villar led off game one with a base hit to extend his hit streak to 12 games. He didn't play in the second game of the doubleheader.

The BlueClaws will return home on Thursday to open an eight-game homestand. West Virginia (Pirates) comes to Lakewood for the first time, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 pm.
