
Wranglers Trade For Ceci, Burke And Jozsa Head Up

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team has received goalie John Ceci in exchange for cash. The team also announced that defensemen Jason Jzsa and Gerry Burke have been recalled by the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League.
Jozsa receives his second recall to the AHL in the last two seasons. Jozsa is tied for the team lead with 11 points by a defenseman. Jozsa's +9 rating is third best on the team and leads all Wranglers defensemen. Jozsa was held scoreless in seven games with Omaha of the AHL last season. In 15 games with Las Vegas this season, Jozsa has one goal ten assists for 11 points. Last season, the Calgary, AB native scored 11 goals and added nine assists for 20 points in 66 games with Las Vegas. For his career, Jozsa has 24 goals and 78 assists for 102 points in 294 games.
Burke heads back to the AHL where he played two games last season and four in 2005-06. Burke participated in the preseason with Quad City and was assigned to Las Vegas in early October. In 16 games with Las Vegas, the Milton, MA native has three goals and four assists for seven points. Burke scored all three goals and picked up three assists for six points in his last ten games played. Over that span, Burke was also a team-high +8. In 162 career games, the 25 year-old has 19 goals and 47 assists for 66 points, as well as adding 201 penalty minutes.
Ceci joined the Wranglers in time to suit up for Thursday morning's game against the Steelheads. The King City, ON native started the season with the Fresno Falcons, Ceci made four appearances with the Falcons, going 2-2-0 with a 4.26 goals against average and a .895 save percentage. Prior to turning pro, Ceci spent the last four seasons with Acadia University in the CIS. With Acadia, the 24-year old posted a 34-25-3 record with a 2.93 goals against average and a .901 save percentage. Before Acadia, Ceci played four seasons in the OHL with Owen Sound, Otttawa and Sarnia. In the OHL, Ceci posted a 49-23-10 record with a 3.07 goals against average.
Las Vegas will host Idaho tonight and Saturday at 7:05 pm.
