Martin Loaned To Syracuse

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that goaltender Joel Martin has been loaned to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Martin had appeared in eleven games this season for the Jackals with an 8-3-0 record with two shutouts, a 2.80 goals against average and a .902 save percentage. For Martin it will be his second AHL call-up of the season. He was with the Binghamton Senators to start their season in October, but did not appear in any games.

In four career AHL appearances, Martin is 2-1-0 with a 3.47 goals against average and a .863 save percentage. One of those appearances was in a 5-1 win for the Crunch at Hamilton on April 5, 2007.

The Jackals are off until Wednesday, December 5th, when they host the Trenton Devils at First Arena in a 7:05 p.m. face-off.
