Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers(r) (24-25-6, 54 Points) defeated the Stockton Thunder (25-22-8, 58 Points) 6-4 in front of 3,480 fans Sunday afternoon at the Orleans Arena.

The Las Vegas Wranglers took an early lead that they would never relinquish at the Orleans Arena on Sunday afternoon. Alex Bourret led the Wranglers with a hat trick. Chris Neiszner, Adam Miller and Jason Krischuk also scored in the victory. Goalie Joel Gistedt stopped 24 of the 27 Thunder shots he faced for his third victory of the season. Andrew Perugini stopped 24 of 30 shots in the loss. Anthony Aiello, Colin Hemingway and Jason Bates scored for Stockton.

The Wranglers scored on their first shot of the game as Jeff Hazlewood found Chris Neiszner who fired home a slapshot for the 1-0 lead. Alex Bourret extended the lead as he broke in all alone on the Stockton netminder and beat him with a wrist shot for the 2-0 lead at the break.

In the second period the Wranglers kept the pressure on Stockton as Adam Miller took a stretch pass from Mick Lawrence and scored on the breakaway for a 3-0 Wranglers lead. Stockton retaliated and got on the board on the power play as Anthony Aiello fluttered a long wrist shot through traffic to cut the Wranglers lead to 3-1. Jason Bates cut the Wranglers lead to one just over two minutes later as he beat Wranglers goalie Joel Gistedt with a wrist shot. The Wranglers answered back 92 seconds later as Alex Bourret scored a power play goal from point-blank range.

In the third period, Colin Hemingway stepped out of the box and picked up a long pass from Garet Hunt. His breakaway goal again cut the Wranglers lead to one. That was as close as the Thunder would get. Jason Krischuk's slapshot from the left point on the power play goal just under 6 minutes later extended the lead to 5-3. Alex Bourret completed his hat trick by deflecting home a feed from Josh Prudden for the final score.

The Wranglers hit the road for five away games before returning to the Orleans Arena on Friday, March 12th, to face the Bakersfield Condors in the first of a three-game series. March 12th is Girl Scout Night and the Wranglers will wear a Girl Scout uniform inspired jersey.
